Covid-19: 42 new positive cases identified in part of France

The latest health bulletin dated November 2 to 8 reports 42 new positive cases for Covid-19 recorded in Saint-Martin (note that, following an update of the SI-DEP software, an update of the number of cases should be noted for week 44: 47 cases against 38 reported initially). Taking into account the consolidated data from previous weeks, this brings to 655 the number of cumulative cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test since the start of the epidemic.

The Louis-Constant Fleming hospital is still very mobilized for the management of the crisis. As of November 9, 6 confirmed Covid-19 patients are hospitalized in the establishment's medical department. 4 medical evacuations of COVID patients were carried out to Guadeloupe.

Otherwise, 301 additional tests were performed in the laboratory and in the hospital, with a total number of 6906 tests recorded.

The drive activity continues at the hospital and a new drive (accessible on Friar's bay) has been set up to offer antigenic tests for people leaving for Guadeloupe. The latter carried out 82 tests over week 45, making it possible to detect 2 positive cases (NB: these figures are not cumulative with the previous figures in connection with the PCRs, the antigenic tests being the subject of a particular follow-up). _AF
