Letters from the readers: Tense exchanges between a client suffering from cancer and an Air Caraïbes hostess

0

“Suffering from cancer, I presented myself this morning (editor's note yesterday morning) with my two Social Security vouchers with a view to  book my return trip to do my chemotherapy. It was then that Mrs. G. Hostess at Air Caraïbes in Grand-Case directly attacked me verbally.

She turned all red, didn't want to listen to anything and spoke up to me.

This person refused to serve me and asked me to come back at 13 pm to book my ticket with his colleague…

The state of fatigue of my cancer made me crack, I decided to file a complaint with the gendarmerie because we do not receive customers in this way especially when we know they are fragile.

This is the first time that a hostess has spoken to me in this way. It is unacceptable !

Disgusted, I made the decision to stop chemotherapy and any other treatment to survive.

An airline must greet its customers with a smile, patience and non-aggressiveness, meanness and hatred. If this person is tired of receiving clients, ask for a transfer to work in the offices. MS
