Coronavirus: 406 new cases of covid-19 confirmed in January in Dutch part

This is the most important toll recorded in the Dutch part since the start of the pandemic: 406 new cases of covid-19 were confirmed in January, it is 19 more than in December which had accumulated 387 new cases and established a record. As of January 31, 1 people have been infected.

After a second wave in August (348 new cases), the number of contaminations fell in September (+ 191) and October (+159). It was from November that it increased again: + 243 in November, + 387 in December and + 406 in January, including 113 last week.

To date two people are hospitalized, 165 are under the surveillance of Collective Prevention Services (CPS) and 274 placed in quarantine because they are contact cases. The number of active cases is 167.

As of January 31, 13 people have been tested since March last year and 533 tests have been carried out at Juliana Airport. (soualigapost.com)
