Six men from the 19th engineer regiment from Besançon who arrived last Sunday in Tonnerre are committed to building a new access to the ecosite at Grandes Cayes. "This was requested by the Collectivity," says the prefect Anne Laubies. Indeed, the authorities fear that in the event of bad weather and too heavy sea, access to the site will be made impossible. The soldiers are therefore working to create a new 650-meter-long runway a little higher. Within ten days they should be finished.
