SINGING COMPETITION: What if you became the next Overseas Voice?

0

The now famous “Voix des Outre-Mer” singing competition has opened registration for its fifth edition. To your microphones.

After the coronation of Angelor Blaise, 24-year-old Haitian countertenor, during the previous edition of the competition, the throne is once again vacant. To have a chance to sit on it, candidates are asked to be passionate about singing, whatever the style, to want to promote their overseas roots to the Opéra National de Paris and to be particularly motivated to complete their training and vocal coaching course as part of the Voix des Outre-Mer competition. Singers of all styles and levels are invited to register via a form available online or by email (see Info). With a video audition system, the organizers will select applications from all overseas territories, namely French Polynesia, Wallis and Futuna, New Caledonia, Saint-Barthélemy, Guadeloupe, Martinique , Guyana, Mayotte, Reunion, Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, the overseas territories in France, and finally, Saint Martin. The Overseas Voices competition was created by Fabrice Di Falco, soprano/countertenor, and Julien Leleu, double bass player. After selection of their application, the winners will follow advanced training led by Fabrice Di Falco and his team in order to best prepare the candidates for the regional finals in partnership with La 1ère (Overseas division of France Télévisions). The grand finale will take place in Paris and will be broadcast live by the same channel as well as on France Musique. Six support grants for the professionalization of talents are also at stake. If the closing date for registrations for the Voix d'Outre-Mer competition is on May 31, 2022, it is better not to delay to compile a photo, a biography and a video where you perform a piece of your choice, with total freedom regarding the musical style. _VX
