The “Challenge des tables” project was created by the constituency of the North Islands in order to promote the learning of multiplication and addition tables. The aim of this initiative is to bring pupils up to standard.
“We noticed that some CM2 students arrived at the college without knowing their operating tables. To overcome this, we have set up this challenge ”, explains Jean-Luc Elice, mathematics project manager with the constituency of the Northern Islands. For seven months, teachers trained their students. The district final will take place next Wednesday from 8:30 am to 11 am at the media library: the best students from each school and each level will participate. The awards will be presented by the Lions Club Fort Louis.
