Sports Awards 2016: Titouan Boyer voted best sportsman of the year 2016!

The big family of Saint-Martin sport (not quite in full) met last Friday, at the MJC in Sandy-Ground, for the 4th edition of the Sports Awards. 

A ceremony which took place in the presence of Guillaume Arnell, Senator and Vice-President of the Collectivity, Alain Gros-Desormeaux, Territorial Advisor of the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, in charge of Youth, Sports and Life Associative, Thierry Malher, secretary general of the Prefecture of Saint-Martin / Saint-Barthélemy and Wendel Cocks, president of Semsamar. Among the many winners of the evening, the young surfer, Titouan Boyer, was voted best sportsman of the year 2016. _AF

   ATHLETICS :

Winner: Lisa Coquillas - 16 years old - (Avenir Sportif Club): 6th in the Guadeloupe Cross Championship 2015.

Technical framework : Andra Connor - 1st degree federal trainer.

  COURSE ON FOOT

Winner: Alphonse Esnard-Avenet (Dream of Trail) - Coast to coast: 10th in the Scratch.

Technical framework : Sully Wilfred (Intergeneration Runners) - Semi des Abymes - Semi de Fort de France.

   CYCLING:

Winner: Adélio Brooks - 16 years old (VCG) - Pôle cyclisme de Guadeloupe - Winner of the duathlon and the MTB Cross Country championship in 2016.

Technical framework : Patricio Carty (ASM) - winner of the two days of Marigot - 2016 cadet selection.

  FOOTBALL

Winner: Louis Fernandes -16 years old (Juventus) - Referee diploma - level 1 coach (CFF1).

Technical framework : Jean-Marc Aubry (St Louis Stars) - coach for 20 years.

 GOLF

Winner: Pierre Garcia - 14 years old (Les Tamarins) - winner of all youth categories of the Opens of Barbados and Sint Maarten. Vice-champion of Guadeloupe Benjamin.

Technical framework : Nicolas Leobold - Director of the driving range and the golf school.

  GYMNASTIC

Winner: Afiya Denis - 12 years old - Champion of Guadeloupe all categories. Champion Antilles-Guyane Minime.

Technical framework : Sandrine Barrelli - graduate judge.

  KARATE kyokushinkai (Caribbean Oyama Karate)

Winner: Emma Quetat 12 years old - 1st in the USA Championship in kyokushinkai karate. 1st French Open in kyokushinkai karate. Champion of Saint-Martin.

Technical framework : Philippe Bertineau - Black belt 1st dan karate kyokushinkai

 KARATE Shindokai (Seishin Dojo)

Winner: Eliott Guedj - 9 years old - Winner of the Kata St Martin tournament - St Martin champion -

Winner: Cynthia Durand - Best player at the Guadeloupe tournament.

Winner: Jean-Daniel Volcy- 15 years old (Rugby Union) - Champion Guadeloupe and Champion Antilles Guyane.

Winner: Thomas Witczak -14 years old - Champion of France Slalom 2016 - Vice-champion of France figures combined jump in 2015.
