The latest quarterly data from the Mobile Observatory were published by the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Telephone Communications and Posts (ARCEP). In the overseas departments and communities, we learned that 2,6 million SIM cards were in service as of March 31, 2017. This number increased by more than 20.000 cards during the 1st quarter, with stability over one year of 0,2%. Regarding prepaid cards, this segment is doing well with more than 10.000 cards for this quarter, practically in all departments, according to the observatory. As for the growth of the post-paid card market, it is confirmed with more than 15.000 cards. Note that in France, the number of SIM cards in service is 73 million. _EH
