Carnival 2024: A weekend of festivities in Quartier d’Orléans not to be missed!

0

As announced by the new Carnival Committee, the month of January will give way to activities in the different neighborhoods with the aim of involving residents more but also of spreading the spirit of Carnival within our community in order to encourage and encourage their participation in the great carnival celebration in February.

It is therefore in Quartier d’Orléans which is about to come alive this weekend that the festivities will begin. We obviously invite all residents of the neighborhood but also the entire population to participate in carnival activities which promise to immerse them in a festive atmosphere of music, singing, dancing, costumes and entertainment.

From Friday evening at 19 p.m., the sports area will be transformed into a giant ZUMBA track for the famous GET FIT 2 FETE. An hour's session with coach Fabi whose sole mission will be to get the participants moving to the rhythm of soca in order to put them in physical condition for the Carnival festivities.

As a reminder, these zumba sessions are organized in an effort to raise awareness of the importance of practicing a sporting activity but also of the benefits of a healthy diet. This year, the Maison Sport Santé Iles du Nord is joining us to support us in this process by running a stand during the Zumba sessions, offering screenings but also providing advice.

On Saturday evening from 19 p.m. to 23 p.m., the Lake and Dails – Restaurant Bar will host the very first BARVENTURE for a special Carnival afterwork evening with the best DJs in the neighborhood. A relaxing evening with activities and games to “let go” and share a friendly moment with friends.

The weekend will finally end with the Drum Parade on Sunday from 16 p.m. to 18 p.m. in the streets of Quartier d'Orléans, showcasing our talented percussionists and musicians. The Drums Parades are the meeting place for our culture lovers who will have the opportunity to discover our talented musicians who will bring a cheerful and festive atmosphere to the streets for the great pleasure of all.

This parade is open to anyone wishing to participate freely in costume, festive or cultural attire. The starting point is at the neighborhood Best Buy Gas gas station.

This weekend is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the joie de vivre and cultural diversity that characterize our territory and to create memorable memories.

So mark your calendars for a weekend of captivating celebrations and unforgettable moments as Carnival 2024 approaches!
