Carbets de la Baie Orientale: AOTs have been awarded for restaurants, watersports and shops!

To exercise its catering, trade or watersports activity on the beach of Orient Bay, a temporary occupation permit (AOT) is compulsory. On plot AW 34, several have been granted by the community to occupy the carbets.

Three AOTs for a period of ten years have so far been issued as a restaurant to Maurice Jermin (Pirate Entreprise), Natalie Pley (Aloa) and Luc Sasia (Orange Fever). They also have the right to install deckchairs and chairs on the beach.

Two AOTs for water sports were awarded to Edward Rohan (Paradise Water sport) and Rollan Glascow for a period of two years. Jamal Bulgalière (Takata-Jam and Co) was refused AOT due to a lack of availability.

Finally, four authorizations to operate a beach boutique / kiosk were granted to Dorette Fleming, Roselaine Pierre, Joseph Bocage, Sabrina Hyman (Chez Lili) for a period of two years and one to Louis Gomes (Angelina Sexy Suits) for a period ten years.

Note that these AOTs were granted by the executive council provided that certain entrepreneurs complete their file and the deliberation fixing the amount of the lease. (source: www.soualigapost.com)
