To encourage women to participate in breast cancer screening, the Rotaract Saint-Martin Nord Club and its partners organized a walk yesterday morning. A hundred people took part in this event.
Dressed in a pink T-shirt with the slogan “Walk the walk for Breast cancer”, the participants left the Galisbay parking lot towards the Simpson Bay bridge, passing through Concordia. Back at square one, the club members underlined their courage. Breakfast and a zumba class were then offered to walkers. According to club president Martine Beldor, this event was a success and the people of Saint-Martin have once again shown that they are ready to fight breast cancer. _KL
