Sint Maarten police are investigating the robbery of a jewelry store on Front Street in Philipsburg committed last Saturday. She invites those likely to provide her with information to contact her at (+1 721) 54-22222 ext. 213/214.
The events occurred at 11:15 a.m. Two armed and hooded individuals entered the store. They jumped over the counter and took several trays of jewelry, boxes containing diamonds and gold necklaces. They then fled on foot to Back Street.
A pedestrian patrol quickly arrived on the scene but the individuals had already left. While fleeing, they dropped jewelry that could be recovered on the street. They were seized for the purposes of the investigation.
