Robbery at an exchange office: phone cards found two years later

0

Last Thursday, a 23-year-old young man was tried by the criminal court for having in his possession prepaid phone cards stolen during a robbery in Marigot in June 2013.

It was during a search of Mr. M.'s home for another case that the gendarmes found several prepaid telephone cards from this burglary. But Mr. M. was unable to participate, because at that time he was in prison. At the helm, he explains that a garage owner to whom he had given $ 800 reimbursed him this amount after not having repaired his car, and that he paid in part with these cards. To his amazement, these cards did not work on his laptop. The merchant, victim of the burglary, confirms that he had the cards blocked after the burglary. In his civil party constitution, he claims reimbursement of $ 400. Mr. M. was sentenced to two months suspended prison with probation. He will also have to perform 105 hours of community service over 18 months and reimburse the merchant the equivalent of 400 dollars in euros._KL
