Biodiversity: D-6 before the launch of the French Agency

0

The Minister of the Environment Ségolène Royal signed last week the decree creating the French Agency for Biodiversity, and appointed Hubert Reeves as honorary president. With this initiative, “France is once again setting an example,” said the minister on her Twitter account. This agency will be officially launched next Sunday. The first board of directors will meet on January 19.

This organization will be organized around national poles in Brest, Montpellier and Vincennes, specifies the ministry. The agency will be present overseas “with regional departments corresponding to the administrative regions, departmental services, but also all of the marine natural parks and maritime front offices”. _EH
