RUGBY: Archis on all fronts!

0

After the victory of the senior team in Guadeloupe in Goyave, all the teams were present on the meadow in the Antilles.

First, Laurie and Julia represented the Archigirls in the selection of the Committee in St Lucia. Clearly, our Saint-Martin athletes never cease to amaze us with their sports performances! This time, it is the queens of the oval ball Laurie and Julia, who joined the Guadeloupe - Northern Islands selection to play a tournament in Saint Lucia last weekend.

This competition serving as preparation for the future Antilles - Guyana tournament resulted in a clear victory for our players!

Congratulations and congratulations to ArchiGirls

Then the under 16s played in St-Barth for the 2nd day of their championship in an agreement with our neighbors against the Good Luck du Gosier. Unfortunately, despite great opposition, our young people had left too far in the first half to hope to win. Defeat 38 to 21. A next meeting on January 7 against the flagship team of the championship, the RCSF of St-François.

The nice surprise of the weekend comes from those under 14 who participated in a tournament in Guadeloupe against the local teams. Despite a defeat in their first meeting against the Good-Luck (which will finish 1st on the board), the youngsters will win all their meetings to finish 2nd on the 6 teams present. A result that arrives well to show all the progress of our young people at the start of the season. Their coaches, Mika and Alban, are proud to present 3 of them for selection at the next Antilles Guyane tournament. Congratulations to everybody !

Finally, the whole Rugby school moved to St-Barth for a 3-man plateau with the Barracudas and the Union. All young people from 5 to 12 years old participated in the meetings. Each club dominates a category: the Union in less than 8 years, the Archiball in less than 10 years and the Barracudas in less than 12 years. Thank you to the Barracudas for their welcome. The young people took real pleasure despite a strong swell on the way.

Finally, we would like to thank the parents who were with us to help and supervise the young people throughout the weekend.

Next meeting at Bellevue where the senior team will welcome the St François club for the championship on January 7 at 16 p.m.

Thank you all for this wonderful start to the year. Roll on 2017 for new adventures.

Happy New Year celebrations to all supporters, players, managers, educators, volunteers and of course Archis sponsors! _AF
