With the support of the Collectivity, the Territorial Basketball Committee of Saint-Martin has been organizing since the beginning of the week, a summer basketball course for young licensees from the island with the presence of several renowned American coaches.
The management team, led by Charles-Henri Palvair, federal technical advisor for the Saint-Martin Basketball Committee and director of the Youth, Sports, Culture and Association Services is constantly present and active.
It promotes a joyful collective life, in a sporting, healthy and educational atmosphere. The basketball program is under the responsibility of American coaches including the experienced Gordon Gibbons, present in the community for more than 50 years.
Appreciated and recognized for the quality of its supervision and its facilities, this basketball summer camp welcomes throughout the week, 70 licensees from different clubs of Saint Martin to share their passion with Basketball.
During the internship, the CTBSM puts all its know-how at the service of young people who can thus come to get better in contact with good players and benefit from the expertise of renowned coaches.
Alternating common sequences and specific sequences, players and educators work on learning and perfecting the basic gestures of basketball. Without forgetting the training of local coaches.
This free course is open in the morning for players aged 11-14 and in the afternoon for 15-18 year olds. _AF
