Since last Friday, April 7, four young people from the SXM Badminton Club as well as the president, Angélique Armougom and the secretary, Nadine Ymung have been at CREPS in Les Abymes in Guadeloupe for a major competition that brings together teams from Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana and Saint- Pierre and Miquelon.
The president of the SXM Badminton Club can be proud of the performance achieved by her young proteges in Guadeloupe.
Indeed, during the two days of competition, Maylie Auger-Azur distinguished herself in the most beautiful way by winning the tournament among the cadets. Mention very well also to his club mate, Louise Boureau-Fleming who climbs on the 2nd step of the podium.
Among the boys (junior category), Jiakun Chen also performed well by finishing the tournament in third place.
A nod to Fangxi Cai who was not unworthy throughout the competition.
In parallel with the tournament, two days of training were on the program for the young badminton players who worked on the technical and practical aspect of badminton. Enough to progress further and win other tournaments in the coming weeks for the SXM Badminton Club! _AF
