Fighting against mosquitoes which are vectors of diseases is one of the objectives of the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Guadeloupe / Northern Islands. And last Friday, new premises dedicated to the prevention of disease transmission were inaugurated in Guadeloupe at Raizet by Patrice Richard, the director general of the agency. “On a recurrent basis, the populations of Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands have to deal with diseases transmitted by insects, including the aedes aegypti mosquito, vector in 2012 of dengue, in 2014 of chikungunya and currently we are in the epidemic phase of zika virus ”, indicates the ARS which can count on about fifty agents within the framework of the fight against vector. _EH
