In 2001, its director Jocelyne, who was then a partly French teacher, since 1992, chose to open her partly Dutch school.

In order to promote bilingualism, which is the richness and beauty of Saint Martin, children from 18 months to 6 years old, mostly English-speaking, follow a French school program, taught by bilingual teachers.

In 2017, Irma having damaged her first premises, Gribouille quickly moved to the top of the mountain in Cole Bay, and was able to welcome her students a month after the hurricane had passed, thus continuing this great adventure.

Since the end of the first confinement, the school has reopened its doors by adopting a strict health protocol, guaranteeing the safety of all.

Long live the Gribouille school, which has been supporting little Saint-Martin residents for 20 years!
