Friday morning took place the traditional greeting ceremony for the year 2016 at the Hotel de la Collectivité. For 2 hours, the president Aline Hanson and her four vice-presidents took a turn to take stock of the activities of their pole and presented the challenges for this year, in front of many guests.
President Aline Hanson, who manages the Human Development Center, recalled the actions undertaken in 2015, particularly in the field of education: “€ 1,9 million has been devoted to the renovation of educational establishments that host 8774 students - first and second degree combined. ” Regarding youth employment, Ms. Hanson intends to set up a charter with local businesses so that they are hired as a priority. “This is a project that is close to my heart, because it is together that we will succeed in reducing the unemployment figures,” she explains. In terms of physical activities, the launch of a center of excellence and education through sport (CEES) seems to be taking shape. “We will be ordering a feasibility study for its creation from the first quarter. A technical study is also planned within the framework of the center of excellence for the creation of a swimming pool and a nautical base ”, adds the president.
In terms of general policy of the Collectivity, the achievements in 2016 are numerous: note the start of actions in the field of the city contract; 20 additional cameras for the urban security center (CSU); carrying out a local security diagnosis with an inventory of the situation of the territory and setting up an annex of the territorial police in Quartier d'Orléans. “2015 was an operational year. 2016 is part of the same dynamic with the launch and finalization of the achievements of the community, but also in the longer term the implementation of major projects. ” We will come back to the other speeches this week.
