CAUTION: Passengers will not be allowed to board if their temperature exceeds 38 ° C.

“Ticket, passport… temperature”. From Monday 11 May, Air France will check the temperature of its passengers, who will not be able to board if it is above 38 degrees, the airline announced on Saturday.

“Temperature controls will be gradually implemented on all Air France flights from May 11,” said the company. “This systematic control will be carried out using non-contact infrared thermometers.

Customers with a temperature above 38 ° C “may be refused boarding and their reservation will be changed free of charge for later departure”.

Wearing a mandatory mask

Wearing a mask will also be compulsory for traveling on Air France flights from Monday. On board the plane, the airline will space passengers “as much as possible”, the process being facilitated by the low occupancy rates of the planes at this time.

Cabins cleaning and disinfection procedures have been strengthened and an antiseptic product “whose effectiveness has been established for 10 days” is sprayed “periodically” into the cabins.

The on-board food and beverage service is discontinued for domestic flights and within Europe. Air France also specifies in its press release that the air recycling systems of its planes filter viruses such as the coronavirus.
