Some restaurateurs would add to the notes given to customers - in addition to the prices displayed on the menus - the amount of 4% corresponding to the TGCA, according to the prefecture. This practice is prohibited. It is the decree of March 27, 1987, amended by the decree of June 29, 1990, which sets the applicable rules for the display of prices in establishments serving meals, foodstuffs or drinks to be consumed on the spot. The CCISM will also remind restaurant owners of this information.
