We lost two young adolescents in a jet ski accident on the lagoon of Simpson Bay, on the night of Saturday to Sunday, while on Sunday evening, two young men riding a moped on the Savannah road lost their lives in an accident.
I would like to address on my own behalf and on behalf of the elected officials of the Territorial Council of Saint-Martin, all our condolences and support for the families of the victims. We are overwhelmed and very saddened by these terrible tragedies and we wish to express our sympathy to the loved ones. We know how much this misfortune reaches them, we all take part in this immense pain. The gendarmerie investigations must define the causes of these two separate accidents, under the authority of the Basse-Terre Prosecutor's Office.
I renew my heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones and send them all our comfort in overcoming this painful ordeal. ".
