The SNSM still on alert at sea

The “Rescue Star” carried out two medical evacuations in four days. The National Society for Rescue at Sea (SNSM) of Saint-Martin - which recounts its actions on its blog - was therefore in great demand. The first intervention took place on May 8: the team was called by CROSS to carry out a medical evacuation. It was about a young man aboard the sailboat “Belle Espoir 2”, unconscious, suffering from “neurological disorders”, in the bay of Marigot. Two days later, the CROSS informed them of another problem: a “ship planned to arrive in Marigot Bay” to “disembark a sick officer”. Thanks to the “Rescue Star”, the victim was transferred to land, and taken care of by the firefighters.
