44 teams, or 484 runners took part on Monday November 11th in the 32nd edition of the relay race around the island organized as part of the Sint-Maarten's Day festivities.
Each team made up of eleven torchbearers had to cover a total distance of 34 km, or just over 3 km per torchbearer.
In terms of results, the Avenir Sportif Club de Saint-Martin won first place with a final time of 2h18'36 '' ahead of team 1 of SX Treme Runners 2h20'14 '', SXM Tri Academie ending on the 3rd step of the podium with a time of 2h26'46 ''.
In the “Teen Teams” category, “Dynamic Teens” won with an excellent time of 2h50'59 '' ahead of 'SX-Treme Green Tiger Juniors' 2h53'28' 'and "French Quarter Junior High School", 2h54' 16 ''.
Finally, in the Juniors, success of the "Dynamics Junior Racers" team in 3h25'05 '' in front of "CIA Under 14 Students" which finished the test in 4h02'30 ''.
