According to the report carried out by the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Guadeloupe (OVSG-IPGP), the regional soil activity of last month is stable: the report reveals a number of earthquakes comparable to that observed in previous months.

The Observatory thus recorded in a region of 450 km around Guadeloupe, a total of 135 earthquakes of tectonic origin, of which 61 were located with a maximum magnitude of 4.7, according to the report.

Call for testimonies on the felt earthquakes
The institute indicates that “the real intensities (effects of an earthquake in a given place) can only be correctly determined by collecting testimonies”. If you have felt an earthquake, you can report it online at the following site: www.franceseisme.fr.
