0

The latest epidemiological bulletin from the Institute for Public Health Surveillance (InVS) indicates that Zika infection has been identified in two new pregnant women in Saint-Martin. A total of 22 pregnant women - prescribed by biological research - contracted Zika during their pregnancy. In our territory, the number of suggestive cases has been falling since the last assessment. However, these remain at high levels, according to the bulletin: “The situation needs to be monitored closely.” Since the emergence of the virus, 2165 clinically suggestive cases have been identified. In Saint-Barthélemy, the evocative cases are in decline. “This trend remains to be confirmed in the coming weeks.” _EH
