The St. Maarten Hospitality & Trade Association (SHTA) will host the second job fair at the end of the month at the University of Saint Martin (USM).
On October 29, from 10 a.m. to 16 p.m., job seekers will have the opportunity to meet companies from different sectors, including the Sonesta group, and employment agencies. Free sessions on several topics - training on interview techniques, writing a curriculum vitae, advice on finding a job - will be offered to visitors. As part of this event, job seekers are invited to register online: www.shta.com, “Job Fair” section.
Participating companies will thus be able to preselect candidates, based on their CV, for interviews. According to the latest annual report from the Institute for Overseas Departments (IEDOM), "Sint Maarten is characterized by a higher number of workers than in Saint-Martin (19.336 against 17.709 on the French side), more than 88% of whom are employed, ”according to the latest figures for 2011. _EH
