Sunday around 4:30 am, the firefighters intervened for a fire in the Colombe sector in Concordia, not far from the EDF agency.
“It was a fire in a chicken coop which ignited entirely over an area of approximately 500 m2 with a high risk of spreading to other cages containing hens and vegetation nearby, ”underlines the captain, Cyrille Pallud, head of the Saint-Martin fire center. "During our reconnaissance, we found on the site eight gas cylinders open at the top under a tangle of sheets and five dead hens in the henhouses", he specifies.
Eight firefighters intervened for nearly four hours to put out the flames. _AF
