0

Thales has announced that it has been chosen by Princess Juliana International Airport in Sint Maarten to support it in the reconstruction of its air traffic control (ATC) and radar surveillance infrastructure.

The Thales group is the world leader in air traffic management. In Latin America and the Caribbean, it has installed more than 150 radars and 25 air traffic control centers.

In Sint Maarten, the group will install "a primary TopSky-ATC and STAR NG radar co-mounted with the secondary radar Thales RSM970S, advances that will help to strengthen traffic after the ravages of Hurricane Irma". It is planned to "deploy this program in a record time of seven months". (Source: www.soualigapost.com)
