Air transport: Two new A350-900s from summer 2019 for Air Caraïbes and French bee!

The Dubreuil group, a family group diversified in distribution and air transport - and owner of Air Caraïbes and French bee, has just confirmed two additional new A350-900s on leasing.

Air Caraïbes and French bee already operate two of these latest generation large carriers. With entry into service dating back more than a year for the two oldest aircraft, companies today have sufficient distance to take stock of the introduction of the A350 XWB:

- Excellent customer feedback; on the comfort of the aircraft (pressurization, silence and space in the cabin, or even air circulation) and on the quality of the equipment selected for the fitting.

- Operational reliability at the rendezvous; a feat for such an innovative camera, the development of which was particularly rapid.

- Economic performance in line with forecasts; both on maintenance costs, fuel consumption and cargo carrying capacity.

- Improved working conditions for airline flight personnel. The next delivery of an A350, in its 1000 version, was supposed to take place in December 2019. Nevertheless, in recent months, the global aviation context has evolved, weighing on the manufacturer's order books and on the commitments of lessors. American and Asian operators wished to reschedule their deliveries of A350s, making them therefore available on the market for 2019. At the same time, the fuel which had shown relative stability for 3 years is now showing its highest price level since 2014.

The contract for the two A350-900 leases has been validated with ALC, one of the leading aircraft manufacturers. The first will join the French bee fleet for the end of June 2019 and the second will go to Air Caraïbes the following month. Each company keeps its facilities clean: bi-class for French bee and tri-class for Air Caraïbes. At the same time, the French bee A330-300 will be transferred to the Air Caribbean fleet list after a refitting of the cabin to move to the three service classes. French bee will therefore have 3 A350-900s in the fleet next summer. On the Air Caribbean side, two A330-300s will be withdrawn from the fleet. The company will therefore count in the summer of 2019 3 A350-900, 3 A330-300 and an A330-200 fully reconfigured into 3 cabins this year. The A350-1000 will integrate as agreed the fleet at the end of December 2019 in property. Finally, at the service of the two companies, the A330-200, which will also benefit from a modernization project, will continue to exercise its role as a reserve aircraft to compensate for any operational irregularity. The Group's aviation hub will therefore receive three new A350s in 2019. This fleet development confirms the Dubreuil group's ability to adapt to market opportunities, its desire to continue to invest in order to modernize and its desire to register in the long term. in French air transport.
