ROAD TRAFFIC: Summary of traffic orders for the month of December 2023

Running Night these December 8 and 9, Christmas serenades in the neighborhoods from December 8 to 16, Oualichi Christmas Parade on December 16, community Christmas festivities village from December 21 to 23, find below all the temporary closures of road axes of Saint-Martin and parking bans for this last month of 2023, in order to avoid traffic congestion. As a reminder, any vehicle in violation of the prohibited zones will be removed and impounded at the owner's expense.

 

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF STREETS ADJACENT TO THE MARIGOT MARKET ON THE OCCASION OF “RUNNING NIGHT” ON FRIDAY 08 AND SATURDAY 09 DECEMBER 2023

As part of the organization of the “Running Night” by the “Watt de 9” association, authorization has been given for the temporary closure of the streets adjacent to the Marigot Market in accordance with the following provisions:

 

Friday December 08, 2023 at 10 a.m. to Saturday December 09, 2023 at Minuit

Parking of any vehicle will be prohibited in the first 6 parking spaces located opposite the Tourist Market (sea side) in order to allow the installation of equipment on site.

 

Friday December 08, 2023 from 18 p.m. to 23 p.m.

The portion of “Les Sauveteurs en Mer” street between the Christmas village up to the statue of the street vendor will be closed to automobile traffic and parking.

The street parallel to the Food Market (sea side) of the Sea Front will be closed to traffic and car parking at the height of the walking statue up to the roundabout at the height of the former “Mini Club” restaurant.

 

Saturday December 09, 2023:

From 16:30 p.m. to 23 p.m.

The portion of “Les Sauveteurs en Mer” street between the Christmas village and the statue of the street vendor will be closed to automobile traffic and parking.

The street parallel to the Food Market (sea side) of the Sea Front will be closed to traffic and car parking near the walking statue up to the roundabout near the former “Mini Club” restaurant.

 

From 16:30 p.m. to 20 p.m.

The portion of Boulevard de France between the “Bistrot de la Mer” restaurant and the cemetery roundabout will be closed to car traffic.

 

Friday 08 and Saturday 09 December 2023 from 10 a.m. to 23 p.m.:

The first 10 parking spaces included in the portion of Rue “Les Sauveteurs en Mer” (height of intersection on the sea side parallel to the Christmas village) will be prohibited from all parking and reserved for the organizing committee.

The parking spaces usually reserved for tourist buses (Street parallel to the Food Market on the sea side) will be prohibited from all parking and reserved for the organizing committee,

Automobile traffic and parking of any vehicle will be prohibited in the portion of the street parallel to the local restaurants called "lolos" (sea side) from the height of the street vendor statue to near the "fishmonger" carbet of the Food Market of 16:00 p.m. and 23:00 p.m. on Friday 08 and Saturday 09 December 202.

The parking spaces located opposite Boulevard de France between the street vendor and the bus stop will be prohibited from all parking and reserved for tourist buses during the days and times indicated above; all arrangements must be made by taxi controllers in collaboration with the territorial police to guarantee the reservation of this space.

Automobile traffic and parking will be prohibited in the portions of streets indicated above.

 

 

SERENADES IN THE NEIGHBORHOODS OF THE TERRITORY OF THE COMMUNITY OF SAINT-MARTIN DURING CHRISTMAS FESTIVITIES

As part of the Christmas festivities organized by the Directorate of Cultural Action of the Community of Saint-Martin, authorization has been granted to organize musical events of the "serenade" type on public roads in various districts of the territory of the Community from Friday December 08, 2023 to Saturday December 16, 2023 in accordance with the schedule set out below:

As part of the organization of the Christmas parade entitled « Oualichi Christmas Parade » by the Caisse Territoriale des Œuvres Scolaires, authorization is granted for the temporary closure of Rue du Spring, on Saturday December 16, 2023 from 13 p.m. to 17 p.m.

Please note that certain roads will be closed if necessary allowing participants to pass safely and then re-opened gradually under the control of territorial police officers.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF STREETS ADJACENT TO THE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE FROM THURSDAY 21 TO SATURDAY DECEMBER 23, 2023

As part of the Christmas festivities organized by the Department of Cultural Action of the Collectivity of Saint-Martin, a ban on parking and circulation of any vehicle in a portion of the streets adjacent to the village located on the Seafront of Marigot from Thursday December 21, 2023 to Saturday December 23, 2023.

From Thursday, December 21 to Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 14 p.m., parking and vehicle traffic will therefore be prohibited in:

The portion of Rue des Sauveteurs en Mer between the Christmas village and the Marché roundabout will be closed to traffic and car parking.

The small street located between the Christmas village and the “Taxis” station will be closed to automobile traffic and parking.
