Turtle: let's go for the laying season

The 2016 marine turtle nesting season has indeed started on our territory, announced the Nature Reserve of Saint-Martin. Keep an eye out: three species - Lute, green and nested - come to lay their eggs on our beaches. The opportunity for the institution to clarify that they should not be disturbed during this period which will end in October. “At this crucial stage, the turtle is very sensitive to disturbance, which can lead it to abandon its laying”, specifies the reserve, recalling certain instructions: do not touch the turtle or its eggs; do not illuminate the turtle and only use red light; do not use flash to photograph the turtle; do not make noise and stay at a distance of 10 meters from the animal.
