Organized by the Swaliga surf rider's association, the young Saint-Martin surfers made the trip to Guadeloupe as part of the 3rd round of the Guadeloupe Cup qualifying for the final of the Guadeloupe championships which will take place next March.

Big performance by Enzo Masi, finalist in the minimal category: "he has progressed a lot mentally and technically, he is expanding his repertoire of new figures and managing his concentration better, I am really proud of him", dixit Franck Rigal, club coach SXM Surf Explorer.

Maé Demanez confirms her progress by reaching the 3rd step of the podium in undine espoir surfing; Despite her short experience in competition, she shows great maturity and continues to progress in training.

In the Juniors category, the finalist of the 2015 Guadeloupe championships, Kilian Atzert stops at the gates of the final despite a committed and explosive surf like his surfing style described as "powerful".

Note the remarkable performance of Norman Peuron in cadets who also stopped in the semi-finals despite a "more academic" surf but not yet complete enough to reach the final: "We adjust certain technical details with each training to raise his level because this category is probably the most noticeable but I have confidence in Norman: he is currently 5th in the classification but he will progress!

The coach would like to congratulate the other riders of the club: Pierre Platet, Mathis Ruillet and Lou Schmitt for their performance during this event because it is very difficult to win when you start competing, especially since the overall level in Guadeloupe is very strong.

Come to St Barth on February 20/21 for the 4th cup event with this time, the 10 competitors from the club. _AF
