"The staff of La Poste in Saint-Martin currently suffers from the deepest contempt for their personal and family difficulties," said union Sud PTT Gwa in a press release. "Management imposes a deliberate disorganization of the usual work system," he says.
Sud PTT Gwa specifies that all the agents who were previously spread over several sites are now "grouped in Marigot"; "A new organization which takes no account of the difficulties directly linked to the passage of the hurricane and which weighs heavily on families". He also reports that management has reduced the delivery of mail to three days and would like to set up distribution points.
Sud PTT Gwa thus denounces "firmly the attempt of the management which consists in putting pressure by a new organization of the schedules and the distribution system which satisfies neither the staff nor the users". For the agents, it is "a maneuver which consists in regrouping the personnel so as to impose, in the long term, a reduction in staff".
