Last Saturday, around 23:30 p.m., three people were shot and wounded after a shooting took place inside Club XO, located on Airport Road. Two people were hospitalized at the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital, and the third at Sint Maarten Medical Center.
After being warned about the shooting, several police patrols and paramedics were dispatched to the nightclub. On the spot, help discovered a woman with gunshot wounds to her arm and upper body. She received first aid on site, before being transported to Sint Maarten Medical Center in critical condition.
The investigators learned later, after being in contact with the gendarmes of Saint-Martin, that two other people wounded by gunshot during the same shooting, had been hospitalized at the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital.
The reasons for the shooting are not very clear and an investigation has been opened by the Sint Maarten police. The suspect (s) are still wanted, and the investigations carried out by investigators around the club have yielded no results.
