Most countries are having a difficult time due to Covid-19 and the resulting economic crisis. Besides the difficult economic situation around the world, Haiti suffered a massive earthquake last August which caused significant loss of life and material damage.
The next day, a group of police from Sint Maarten created a committee to collect donations from the police organization for the Haitian people.
Over the past few weeks, the committee has collected many boxes of food and other merchandise. All these donations were given to L. Gene in charge of the collection and then sent to Haiti.
The Sint Maarten KPSM Police Directorate expresses its gratitude to all police officers and staff for their support of this humanitarian intervention. Particular attention is also addressed to the donations committee for the coordination of this great initiative. _AF
