Yesterday morning, two road safety awareness operations were organized by the Prefecture and National Education in front of the Aline Hanson school and at the Elie Gibbs elementary school with the “SXM Road Safety” Association.
While many parents were made aware of the compulsory wearing of helmets to transport their child(ren) by scooter to school, the Association "Sécurité Routière SXM" has installed a road track within the Elie Gibbs Elementary School in Grand-Case. These hours of road safety awareness and training, bicycle and pedestrian, punctuate eight hours of training for certification in the first education in road safety for some 60 CM2 students from the Elie Gibbs school.
