Drought: two new aids for breeders

0

The prefecture announced that it had obtained two grants, of 30.000 and 12.000 euros, for the benefit of breeders affected by the drought.

The Ministry of Agriculture has granted aid of 30.000 euros under the “de minimis agricole” scheme. This is specific aid for the benefit of cattle breeding professionals (subject to eligibility conditions). "This flat-rate financial assistance should make it possible to cover part of the additional fodder and water costs that the breeders had to face in order to cover the additional feed needs for livestock during the drought," explains the prefecture. The second aid of 12.000 euros is an exceptional fund for the purchase of fodder, made available by the regional prefect. An agreement was also signed last week with the CCISM for the purchase of a 40-foot container of fodder. This aid is "intended to come to the aid of cattle, sheep and goat breeders who will not have been able to benefit from the de minimis agricultural aid", adds the prefecture.
