Roland Richardson sells fabrics to embellish roundabouts

Laura and the painter Roland Richardson are looking to raise funds to flower and develop the four roundabouts located on the seafront in Marigot. "We want to embellish the roundabouts with a combination of colorful flowers, such as plumerias (frangipani, note), alamanda and an assortment of vinca (periwinkle)," said Laura on her Facebook page. "We will help maintain them," she adds.

The couple estimated the cost of fitting out the first roundabout at $ 1; this includes the preparation of the earth, the purchase of seventy-four plants which will be arranged in a circle of ten meters.

To cover these costs, Roland Richardson is selling this recently produced painting for $ 750. "We have to sell two to beautify a roundabout," says Laura.

"With the start of the new season soon, we hope to be able to contribute to the improvement and embellishment of Marigot," said Laura and Roland. (source: www.soualigapost.com)
