Pôle Emploi said it was satisfied with the 2015 results of the 2015-2017 national memorandum of understanding with the Adapted Military Service (SMA), during a press conference at the French overseas ministry this week.
Overseas Minister George Pau-Langevin welcomed “the good results noted by this winning collaboration and intends to strengthen the support mechanisms for the integration and return to employment of young people”. This six to twelve month program is open to volunteers aged 18 to 25. During this press briefing, a review of the first nine months of implementation of the protocol was drawn up. This system “aims to strengthen the collaboration between the SMA and Pôle emploi in order to effectively fight unemployment among young overseas residents in the territories where the two organizations are established. Its purpose is to secure the professional careers of young overseas beneficiaries of the SMA by relying on the complementarity of the service offerings of the two partners ”. Among the data released, it should be noted that 4.582 young people from overseas benefited from an SMA course in 2015 in the 5 overseas departments. In Saint-Martin, the Objectif 100 agreement, signed in 2014 between the Collectivity and the RSMA, is a great success.
