Last Monday, around 18:30 p.m., an attempted armed robbery occurred in a convenience store located in downtown Marigot, near the Hôtel de la Collectivité. An individual, hooded and armed, broke into the business to get the contents of the box. Despite the threat of a handgun, the manager of the establishment managed to disrupt his attacker. The gendarmes, alerted by witnesses, had no trouble finding the perpetrator. And for good reason: the trader attacked at the time of the closing of his store had managed to lock up his attacker inside the premises. If the robber was arrested and taken into police custody, his accomplice managed to flee on a scooter. Investigations are still underway to identify it. _AF
