Medical hypnosis is used more and more in hospitals in mainland France. This technique was the subject of a seminar at the Louis Constant Fleming hospital in Concordia, last week, bringing together many professionals.
This first seminar, which was led by two hypnotherapists, Caroline Daviet and Carole Burrel, is an initiative of Noémie Bordelais, director of the medical center for women and children, and co-organizer of this event with the hospital center. “Hypnosis is now widely used in France, particularly in the context of anesthesia. With this technique, patients are given less medication. Waking up goes better and recovery is faster, ”explains Noémie Bordelais. Thirty professionals took part in this conference, including members of the maternity ward, the anesthesia service and the emergency team. “Our goal is to set up four seminars to train the Saint-Martin medical team. The objective is to one day offer this technique to the population, ”she specifies.
