Justice: She bites her companion during an argument

On Wednesday, the local court examined new facts of domestic violence, however they were singular since the person implicated was the woman. TB, 27, was accused of hitting and biting her partner, CM, twice.

On June 10, an argument broke out. TB is annoyed, throws several objects at her companion. CM falls to the ground and breaks a finger. The next day, TB takes a positive pregnancy test, which sparks another argument: she wants to keep the baby, he doesn't.

The next day, the tension is strong within the couple. TB slaps his mate, throws objects in his face, punches him in the nose and bites him on the cheek, thigh and calf. The presiding judge shows photos of the victim, revealing the degree of the bites. "Scraps of flesh have been torn off," she notes.

After the fact, CM went to see a doctor who prescribed a 30-day ITT because of the "significant psychological impact" suffered. Then he went to lodge a complaint with the gendarmerie. TB was seen by a doctor who found no mood disorders in her. She does not have a psychopathic profile. "His psychological profile is normal."

At the hearing on Wednesday, TB and CM confirmed they were together again, had feelings for each other but lived apart.

The deputy prosecutor said he was "little reassured about the prospects of this couple". He requested an eight-month prison sentence with a two-year probationary suspension including the obligation to work and care.

After deliberation, the court sentenced TB to six months in prison with a probationary suspension of two years including compulsory care.
