On the occasion of International Women's Day celebrated this Wednesday, March 8, the Rotaract Saint-Martin Nord club wished to highlight a new recruit in the club. Welcome to Miss Kassandre!

What motivated you to join Rotaract Saint-Martin Nord?

“In the past, I had heard of Rotaract without really knowing what it was. I then discovered the various actions carried out by Rotaract while talking with a friend who is already a member. I was really attracted by these different actions aimed at raising awareness or even helping people in need such as: the collection of school supplies or the march against breast cancer. It was really this aspect of the club that pushed me to become a member. In fact, I have long wanted to use my free time wisely by getting involved in causes aimed at improving the daily lives of others. ”

Now being a member does it meet your expectations?

“Now that I am a member, I am really not disappointed. The club and its spirit met my expectations. I was able to meet people who were involved in supporting the club and its various actions. This is really enriching both on the relational and personal point of view.

What could you say to young people aged 18-30 as a word of encouragement so that they come to the club?

For a young person of 18-30 years, joining the club would be a good experience. This allows for enriching encounters. We also learn the different steps to carry out projects. Because even if we only see the tip of the iceberg, there are many preparations and conditions to meet for the success of an action. So it is also enriching on the professional point because all these skills (creativity, communication, argumentation,…) can be reinvested in the world of work. But Rotaract is also a time of sharing and happiness at every meeting or action. So even if it requires a real investment, it's a great experience ”.
