This team and individual match play competition sees each year during the weekend of November 11, Saint Martin / Sint Maarten Day, golfers from the French side and those from the Dutch side. .

This year the Saint-Martin team was made up of: Manu GARCIA, Claude LEVY, Jean-Marc GREAUX, François ANTON, Yawo NYUIADZI, Louis ASSIER DE POMPIGNAN, Jean-Paul CLERC, Marc GRENOUILLAU, Nicolas LEOBOLD, Harry MAILLARD, Philippe FRANCOIS-ROBIN, Yvon SPRINGER, Odile MÉZIÈRES, Brigitte DEVAUX DOTO.

Last Saturday at 8 am the players launched out in shot gun on the fairways of Mullet Bay for the formula of the four balls: on each hole we take the best score of the 2 players of each team who each play their ball. The morning ended around 11:30 am with a parity score of 3,5 to 3,5 (a match won = 1 point, a draw = 0,5 point). The participants could eat thanks to the buffet set up on the golf course by the SMGA.

Then around 12:30 p.m. the players left for 18 holes in a "foursome" formula: the 2 players tapped the same ball alternately until the end of the hole.

on the spot. On arrival, the results improved for the “Tamarins” who scored a total of 4 points, against 3 for the SMGA players, that is to say a cumulative for the 1st day of 7,5 to 6,5 for the Tamarins .

The next day to win, the "Tamarins" had to confirm and win at least 7 points in the 14 individual games scheduled.

And this is exactly what happened on Sunday, our representatives winning 6 games and sharing the points in 2 others to bring the final score to 14,5 for Saint-Martin against 13,5 Sint Maarten. After quenching their thirst, the players gathered for the photo of friendship and the Jason Nyuiadzi trophy presentation to the Tamarins, overjoyed, their last victory dating back to 2015.

During this annual meeting, it was a new opportunity to reiterate the friendship that links players of all nationalities representing the friendly golf island.

Les Tamarins thanks SMGA for the organization with more particularly Gitte as well as Howard for the manicured preparation of the course.

Next golf meeting Saturday, November 23, Tamarins ranking competition and Saturday 7 December the famous SMGA Christmas scramble with a Santa Claus costume contest and cart decorations. More info on golf in Saint-Martin: golftamarinsxm@gmail.com.
