Road users in Saint-Martin are warned! The gendarmerie has decided to intensify checks to fight against road insecurity.
No later than last Friday, from 23 p.m. to 1 a.m., the police carried out new speed checks on the Bellevue straight. Several major speeding offenses were again noted, including one at 137km/h on a section of road limited to 70km/h.
Other motorists were pinned with speeds recorded at 109 km/h, 106 km/h, 105 km/h and 100 km/h.
A driver was also caught for not having a driving licence. _AF
