Gastronomy: The great chefs are mobilizing for St Martin and Saint-Barthélemy!

2

After Irma's more than painful passage through Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy, Michel Trama and Gilles Goujon appeal to their colleagues to carry out charity meals.

“I suggest that we, chefs, food trades and suppliers, be there, standing, for those who have a knee on the ground. Let us help them to get up, to "restore". They are our brothers and sisters. Let's mobilize quickly, all together! Man can be a wolf for Man. He can be his worst enemy. Let us show the world that Man can also be Man's best friend, ”says Gilles Goujon, the 3-star chef at the Auberge du Vieux-Puits in Fontjoncouse (11).

The principle is simple: You have until the end of March 2018 to organize this meal on the date that suits you for 40 to 50 people at a price that corresponds to your average ticket. By using suppliers for products and wines, but also local businesses to buy invitations, you ensure the success of the operation. It will also be supported by the association of "Bouffons de la Cuisine" which coordinates national communication. The entire proceeds will be donated to a foundation dedicated to helping the victims of the two islands.

“We are counting on the mobilization of all in order to participate in the recovery of these disaster-stricken and so quickly, unfortunately forgotten, French territories. Cooking is also there to transmit happiness to everyone ... Long live the kitchen, long live the cooks, so that passions can live! " _AF
