TRAINING: Fongecif wants to set up in Saint-Martin

The Fongecif (Management Fund for Individual Training Leave) supports the active in their professional development projects and finances their training. He is in charge of managing individual training leave (CIF).

Several branches are located in mainland France and overseas, including one in Guadeloupe. "We have so far supported eighteen people on Saint-Martin," says the president, André Jabol (on the right in the photo). Or very few employees given the needs and expectations. This weakness is explained simply by the lack of representation of Fongecif in Saint-Martin. Also André Jabol expressed the wish to make up for this lack with the president of the COM, Daniel Gibbs, and the Minister of Labor, Muriel Pénicaud, during his trip to Saint Martin on December 16.

"We would like to make an agreement with the Collectivity so that there is a referent on the territory and that it is accommodated by the COM", announced the president of Fongecif. Its ambition is to be able to provide "training in sorting, recovery and collection of waste". "We would like to be able to create a collection brigade," he said. Daniel Gibbs said he was satisfied with this desire and ready to support the process.

Finally, Fongecif Guadeloupe has released an envelope of 4 million euros to finance training for employees placed in partial activity following the passage of Irma. (Photo: during the visit of the Minister of Labor. Source: www.soualigapost.com)
