Like every year, on July 21, the celebration of Grand-Case is an opportunity for Saint-Martinois to salute the life and the fight against slavery of Victor Schœlcher. Tributes and festivities are on the program for this day like no other…
The day will begin with an ecumenical mass in the church of Grand-Case followed by a parade of troops and addresses by local elected officials and representatives of the State. From 12:30 p.m., party and entertainment. Music groups, sports contests, games for children… will follow one another.
Another highlight of this Saturday, July 21, is the sailing race, a century-old tradition, with the start scheduled in the Bay of Grand-Case.
